Minutes of the Waco Eagles Motorcycle Club

President Jeff Gilbert called the monthly meeting to order at 7:00 pm with the Pledge of Alliance.

Ross Stovall, treasurer gave the treasure’s report:

Money Market $ 6,309.11

Moto X 97.00

Maintenance 548.44

Flat Track 1,097.00

Checking Acct. 4,819.61

Total $ 12,871.18

Minutes were read from the July Meeting by Petra McNamara, secretary and approved.

Under Old Business: Jeff announced that Tim Collier donated at computer and that it was installed with Track Side.

Glenn asked about putting dirt on turns # 1 & 2 . Jeff said he had with the bulldozer. Glenn also stated that he & Wayne had fixed the exhaust on the water truck. At this time it was brought up about the signs and Petra reported they would be around a $ 100.00 for two. However, the wording was still being discussed. Also discuss sign about "Release forms here and not-members $ 10.00 and also non-rider spectators signing a release.

Jeff recognized James Taylor for shredding the property.

Under New Business:

Jeff brought up organizing a street ride as a club and Jeff said he would get the road captain on this. Discussed was also putting on the annual Play Day and raise money for Compassion Ministries. Play Day is tentatively planned for Dec. 3 2008. Jeff would look at the calendar and take a poll on the forum.

Ross said the Sammy Sweet was out at the track and that the AMA was outlawing the flat track frames, but that there would still be an outlaw class. Ross also asked if there could be a platform built so that Debbie, the photographer could take the little kids’ pictures and flat track could also use it.

Jeff brought up that it might be feasible to have a special event pole set and that would be cheaper that renting a generator for the night races. Glenn interjected that renting the generator was $ 300.00 and that included fuel. Glenn also stated that the end 2 lights were drawing 60 amps on the north end something is not right with that set of lights inside the short track . Discussion broke out about an amp meter and Jeff said he would get with Mike @ Mr. Electric and see what could be done.

John asked at this time where the finish line was on the MX track? Finish line is at the scoring tower Jeff answered.

Glenn brought up at this time if the club again had access to a bulldozer that if would be great to build a road on the back side of the half mile so watering the top edge and blowing the water down with water truck without getting on the track. At this time it was discussed about the white water truck needing repairs on the engine and that the truck was worth fixing. Ross stated it was getting worst and Glenn added don’t reve the engine over 2000 RPM’s.

Jeff announced it was Mary Taylor’s birthday we all wished Happy Birthday and Jeff adjourned the meeting.
