Under Old Business: Wayne donated a $ 100.00 toward the lights and the generator only costing. $300.00 for the VDTRA Night race on July 26, 2008. Glenn told the members that he had cancelled the Sunday races due to the heat and that next year there would be no races scheduled in July.
Jeff brought up the need to rebuild or replace the picnic tables. Jeff said that Bill Fornes had volunteered to rebuild the tables with the club buying the material club members said just do it no vote was taken.
We still have a serious problem with the trespassers not signing releases or paying their $ 10.00 to ride. Wayne proposed we get metal signs stating that liability forms must be signed or non-complaints would be trespassing. Petra McNamara volunteered to check on the price of getting two signs made with:
"
Waco Eagles Members Only"All members with riding guests and or spectators
must Sign a liability release form at time of entry.
Non Club Members who fail to sign release form will be
Trespassing.
Jeff told the members that the Brumbles had relocated in Gatesville and were at the track where they had 5 kids and 5 bikes with no releases signed and no payment Jeff reported. They wanted to know if they could join. Jeff told them it would be a $ 100.00 to join with a new membership. They had 2 new motorcycles. Jeff wondered how they got in and did someone let them in?
Chip Mum spoke up and asked when could there be a work day called to clean up the grounds with using the tractor. Glenn called to the members attention that whoever drives the white water truck needs to check the oil since it was 2 gallons low when Glenn check before using it on the Short Track. Curtis Stevens said we could get a rebuild engine reasonable when needed. It was also brought up that the front nozzle needs fixing and the exhaust manifold.
Glenn spoke up that instead of using a bulldozer that he and JR would bring out his backhoe and using the grader would put new dirt on the track with the club providing the fuel.
It was brought up at this time also about the needs for radios and that Tim had loaned on MX Cross Sunday. Tim said that the club could use them is he was there or someone would be responsible for them if he wasn’t there. Jeff report that a 16 channel with the head set were priced at $ 300.00 each.
Jeff stated that the computer had died and the current hard drive is going out. Wayne Coughran suggest that the club buy a new had drive and Jeff suggested a lap top and Ross suggested a docking station be left at the track but with the type of environment at the track that wouldn’t work either. Jeff had priced at lap top at around $ 500.00 and someone being responsible for the lap top and taking it home after the races. Donny Parker asked about Track side and what type of memory discussion broke out what to do about replacing the computer. It was decided to get a lap top. Motion made by Lori Collier seconded and carried.
Meeting adjourned with all in favor of adjournment.
