Under Old Business:
Jeff Gilbert, President addressed that guests need to sign a release and pay their $ 10.00 lift up the tray and if there’s not a form just write the information on a piece of paper the key # and member’s name with $ 10.00.
The blue tractor Jeff took it apart and Billy fixed it and Mike put a seat on it. The tractor runs good at this time and members need to please check the oil Jeff said.
Jeff again reminded the members to take sight laps before they ride the track. Tracks merge together & were wide enough for the mini bikes. Jeff also put dirt on the lateral lines.
Sunday Dec, 3rd will be Play Day please bring an unwrapped toy or a $ 10.00 donation. They’ll be a slow race, relay races, a balloon race and a scavenger hunt for the non-riders. Fish again will be supplied by Danny & Denise Krumnow and Glenn McNamara will have his pit there to also serve hamburgers, sausage and drinks.
Jeff then addressed the nominations for the E-board. The Constitution Article III an E-Board member must attend 6 meetings and 6 events per year and must be a current member for two years. The nominees Curtis Stevens and Tim Coller haven’t been members for two years. .Discussion broke out to either amend the constitution or if there was an emergency provision in the constitution since these nominees didn’t pass the criteria to run for the E-Board postions. Danny said there are several rules and there must be a 2/3 majority with no provision for an emergency provision since the nominations were made at the last meeting and Curtis Stevens or Tim Coller weren’t eligible to run for E-Board. Jay King made a motion not to amend the Constitution and Jeanine Davis second. Danny Krumnow spoke up and said the provision in the Constitution for a member to be in good standing and working in the club was put there as a safe guard so no other motorcycle club could come in and take over the Waco Eagles and the Waco Eagles members would loose the local control of the club. The floor was then open for new nominations the E-Board:
Nominations were for:
Johnny Baker Jay King David Sims
Some members also wanted to know exactly what the Sonny Chatham Award was about Danny explained that the recipient was to be a good club member, good clean rider and a role model for other young riders eligible for the yearly award. Past awards were given to Ryan Roberts, “The Flee” and Brandon Parsons.
Johnny Baker spoke up and said he has the sportsman award at his home.
At this time the ballots were passed out to the voting members and the ballots were collected and then counted by Petra, Hailey and Jeanine.
During the ballot counting members of Stoney Creek MX track explained to the club they would like to do a series. Fees and trophy cost were all addressed and Jeff said that would good to do series and plans would be made to run the series.
